The Photography -
Many of the photographs and stories in the book are from the photographers themselves who were there to capture the events as they occurred. The book is a large 10in x 12in format with 250 pages of high quality color and B&W photography dating from Lyndon Johnsons early days in Congress to a photograph that was taken only days before his death. Four living White House Photographers from the Johnson administration were interviewed for the first time and offer a rare perspective from behind the camera. A total of nine photographers are profiled in the book along with their biographies. The book has over seventy-five early B&W and color photographs, most of which have never been published until now. Also included are personal letters, cards, notes, and other gifts that were sent by the Johnson family to friends and constituents over a lifetime in politics
The Signature Study -
Included in the book is an in-depth study of Lyndon Johnson's signature habits beginning with his early years in Congress to his retirement at the Ranch. An unprecedented documentary of an Autopen Machine from the archives of the Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum with copies of its mechanical signatures used by the President and First Lady is also presented for the first time in print. Other signature examples by various secretaries and other proxies along with signatures of the two Johnson daughters Luci and Lynda are also presented.
